It offers a strong headline feature set for its category, but it is not a sound direct OmniNVR purchase while Wyze's own community staff says released Cam v4 hardware has not had official RTSP support and no release timeline has been promised.

What the current product documentation establishes

Wyze lists 2560 × 1440 video, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6, IP65 weather resistance, colour night vision, two-way audio, cloud services, and local microSD storage up to 256 GB. Those features establish the Wyze product workflow; they do not list an ONVIF service or a released RTSP endpoint.

Specifications describe the product family and available options; they do not prove that a particular firmware, regional SKU, network, or third-party recorder will behave identically. Confirm the full model code before ordering and retain the current manual with the camera inventory.

What published reviews are useful for

Wyze reviews commonly concentrate on value, image quality, local-card recording, and the subscription tier. The NVR-relevant interpretation is simple: app and microSD features can be perfectly valid for one camera, yet remain a different proposition from a documented cross-vendor network stream.

Independent reviews and creator videos are useful for seeing installation scale, noise, night scenes, app flow, and framing trade-offs that a specification table cannot convey. Set up the camera and microSD through the current Wyze workflow if that is the chosen use. Do not copy unofficial stream URLs or install unverified firmware to make a recorder work. A community bridge can be evaluated in a non-critical lab, but it adds a host, credentials, update risk, and unsupported media path.
